This Privacy Policy explains how Plezi Nightlife, LLC ("plezi," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the plezi consumer app, partner portal, and advertising portal (the "Service").

Summary

The consumer app does not require an account — you can browse and save venues without one. If you create an optional account (to sync your saved venues across devices), we collect your email. The portals require an account, so we collect the information needed to manage it. We do not process or store full payment card details — advertising payments are handled by Stripe. We share information only with providers that help us run plezi, or when required by law.

Information we collect

Consumer app: an account is optional. Without one, we do not require personal information and the app stores limited preferences locally on your device (saved venues, selected city). If you create an account — using a one-time email code, or by signing in with Google or Apple — we collect your email address (and, for Google or Apple, basic profile information) and store your saved venues on our servers so they sync across your devices; you can delete your account and its data from within the app at any time. Location: with your permission, the app uses your device’s approximate location to show the city and venues nearest you. Your location is used on your device to pick the closest city — we do not store it on our servers or share it, and you can decline and pick a city manually. Partner portal: name, email, account role, and the venue info and photos you submit. Advertising portal: business name, contact name, email, phone, the venue you represent, and ad content; at checkout, our payment processor collects your payment information directly and we receive only limited transaction details. Authentication: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (such as your email). Our infrastructure and error-monitoring providers may automatically log technical data (IP, device/browser, timestamps) for security, diagnostics, and operations. The consumer app also collects usage analytics (screens viewed, features used, and general device information) via Google Analytics so we can understand what’s useful and improve the app; we configure it without advertising features, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles of you.

How we use information

To operate and improve the Service; show you what’s nearby using your device location (with permission); create and authenticate accounts; display and keep listings current; review, run, and bill for advertising; process payments and prevent fraud; diagnose crashes and errors; communicate with you about your account, purchases, or support; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers that help us operate the Service under contracts limiting their use — currently Supabase (backend/authentication), Stripe (payments), Netlify (hosting), Google Maps Platform (mapping/geocoding), Sentry (error monitoring), Google Analytics (usage analytics for the consumer app), and Google/Apple (sign-in where you use them). We may also disclose information for legal and safety reasons, or in connection with a business transfer.

Cookies and local storage

The consumer app uses your browser’s local and session storage to remember preferences and avoid repeating prompts. The portals use storage necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use these to build advertising profiles of you.

Data retention & security

We keep account and advertising information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Preferences stored on your device remain until you clear them. We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls, but no system is completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Consumer app: clear your saved venues and preferences anytime by clearing your browser/site data, and control location access in your device settings. Account holders: update your information in the portal, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — contact us to exercise them.

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children, nor to anyone under 18; certain features relate to venues that serve alcohol (21+ in the U.S.). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party sites and relies on third-party services governed by their own privacy policies (including Stripe, Google, and Apple). We are not responsible for their practices.
